Music

The young musicians of Worshiper's House of Prayer Academy study the fundamentals of music through learning to play piano in all elementary grades,  and through achieving an advanced level of individual performance in percussion instruments for middle school students. The program offers exciting music-making experiences through exercising personal responsibility and commitment to group goals, and students are encouraged to demonstrate a healthy stewardship of God’s gift of music. Performance opportunities include recitals, holiday events, and opportunities for regional competition.

Visual Art

The visual arts program at Worshiper's House of Prayer Academy offers tremendous opportunities for all students to share and refine their God-given visual gifts. We believe that each child is uniquely and wonderfully created in God’s image and we foster the development of creative talents through active participation in the school's visual arts offerings. The program inspires students with an exploration of visual creation through the lens of Christian faith.

Drama

Young actors and actresses look forward to regular opportunities for sharing their talent on stage. Elementary students participating in our after school drama program are taught fundamentals of performance, and how their theatrical gifts can glorify God. Performance opportunities include our annual Celebrate the Arts Recital, Black History Musical Production, and Holiday outreaches.

Middle School students may take after-school drama classes and participate in special master class workshops in which they learn various theatre techniques and basic set design. Classes teach a range of theatrical skills including basic acting technique, creative drama, voice and improvisation, and performance styles. Performance opportunities include our annual Celebrate the Arts Recital, Black History Musical Production, and Holiday outreaches.

Dance

We dance to celebrate, teach, worship and praise God. Our students learn to creatively express God's Word through movement.  Dance students bring glory to God as an expression of worship and praise,  as they are exposed to what it means to truly worship with spirit, soul, and body.

cooking

Each week participating students prepare fun, tasty and healthy recipes to eat. Students learn about nutrition, learn to make desserts, learn cooking skills, kitchen saftey and more.
